Jesus Is Your Life
Christ is our life (Col 3:4). This is the declaration made by every person who has turned from their sin to follow Jesus as Savior and Lord. As such, Christians set their mind on things above (v1-4). We put away the old life, killing the flesh (v5-9), and we put on the new life, surrounding ourselves with attitudes and actions that make us like Christ (v10-17). The result is that in our various spheres of life—marriage (v18-19), parenting (v20-21), and work (v22-4:1)—Christ is put on display as we seek to do all things for His glory and not our own.

THIS SUNDAY, we continue in Colossians 3:10–14 as Paul will lay out how Christians Are Different. True Christianity is not just a list of negative do-nots but as we look to Christ, who is our life, we are also encouraged to put on the new self! This passage will remind us of our identity in Christ, the amazing grace He has lavished upon us, and His incredible love which drives us to become more like Him. Come this Sunday and be reminded of who your Savior is and who you are in Him.
